Amidst such festivities, it’s customary to have some snacks to keep you going! One of these are these Snowball Christmas Almond Macaroons. Try them now!
Ingredients Christmas Almond Macaroons
- 2 teaspoons of all-purpose flour
- 3 room-temperature egg whites
- ⅛ teaspoon of salt
- ¼ teaspoon of cream of tartar
- Sugar crystals, ¾ cup
- 6 ounces of toasted, blanched, and finely ground almonds
Directions Christmas Almond Macaroons
- Set the oven to 325 F. Wrap aluminum foil around baking sheets. (Salt and cream of tartar should be beaten into the egg whites)
- Add the sugar little by little while continuing to beat the egg whites until they are glossy and form very stiff peaks.
- Now add your ground Almond and flour and gently incorporate.
- Onto the prepared baking sheets, drop tablespoonfuls about 1 inch apart.
- When the tips are golden, bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Place wire racks after removing the foil from the baking sheets.
- Observe for five minutes.
- Peel the foil from the backs of the macaroons gently. Put the macaroons back on the racks to cool.
