Here are some of our favorite healthy snacks that take little to no preparation at all. These are sure to curb your hunger and help you get through the day.

Smoothies
Smoothies are a great way to pack satisfying ingredients along
with protein, fiber, and healthy fats into a snack. They’re really easy, convenient, and quick to make at home, and you can create endless flavor combinations using what you have. Try adding a couple of medjool dates to your smoothies! They add another layer of flavor, yummy sweetness, and extra nutrition. You can also have fun with your toppings: a little something crunchy like sunflower seeds is a nice touch.
Pumpkin seed dip
Yep, that’s right. You can turn delicious green pepitas into a creamy dip to serve with veggies, crackers, and more. You can follow any recipe for basic hummus – just use the same amount of pumpkin seeds in place of garbanzo beans. These seeds not only make a fabulous dip, but they’re pretty good for your general health too. Pepitas are full of vital nutrients, high in antioxidants, magnesium, and fiber. They’re also linked to a reduced risk of certain cancers and can lower blood sugar levels.
Peanut Butter Protein Balls
These are great for when you need a little energy boost! Raw protein balls are super easy to make: just mix natural peanut butter, a little maple syrup and oat flour until you have sort of a cookie dough consistency. You can also add some mini dark chocolate chips or roll them in toasted coconut flakes or chopped nuts like these pecan pieces.
Pro tip: make your own peanut butter! Homemade nut butters are more affordable than store-bought, tastier, and generally healthier too since you have control over the ingredients. All you need are peanuts and a high power blender or food processor!
Healthy snacks
Macadamia nuts
Macadamia nuts are rich sources of vitamin A, iron, protein,
thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, and folates. These nutritional powerhouses are also full of healthy fats. Some of their health benefits include improved gut health, possible weight loss, reduced risk against diabetes and heart disease. Their high antioxidant content also helps fight inflammation and reduce cellular damage. Besides, natural macadamia nuts are simply absolutely delicious, with a delicate, buttery flavor and meaty consistency.
Sugar free dark chocolate almonds
Dark chocolate is rich in fiber and in minerals like iron, magnesium, and zinc. Almonds contain tons of healthy fats, fiber, protein, and vitamin E. Paired together they’re simply a match made in food heaven. What’s more: Eating dark chocolate and almonds may also lower cholesterol, according to reports in the Journal of the American Heart Association. That’s right: this particular combination could potentially reduce small, dense LDL particles that are a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Our dark chocolate almonds are also sugar free, so you get all these benefits without the added sugar!
Trail mix
Trail mix is a fabulous healthy snack. Made with nuts, seeds, and
dried fruit, so it’s an option that packs a nutritional punch. The nuts are high in protein and full of heart healthy properties. Any seeds in your trail mix will also be packed with tons of minerals and vitamins. Dried fruit is another plus: they offer a lovely natural sweetness, and are also rich in plant compounds with precious antioxidant properties. So while your trail mix is fueling you up during that midday slump, it’s keeping you healthy, too. Our Summer Sunrise has roasted and salted cashews and peanuts, jumbo raisins, golden raisins, diced apples, and natural pecan halves. Another delicious choice, L’Orenta’s Walnut Mix offers a luxurious blend of roasted and salted cashews, pumpkin seeds, raisins and cranberries.
