Homemade Baked nutty falafel bells are incredibly delicious. While they are nut-based and without chickpeas, they taste rich! There are several recipes for baking falafel balls. But here, we’ll share a special recipe to help you make a perfectly delicious one.

The ingredients for making Baked Nutty Falafels wraps include:

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 1/4 cup hemp hearts
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons refined coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of thinly sliced red onion, cut in half moons
  • 4 wraps
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 4 tablespoons harissa
  • 1/3 cup finely ground raw cashews
  • Avocado oil spray for the falafel (or non-spray avocado oil for the brushing)
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted stovetop over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently

Lemon Tahini Dressing:

  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

Procedure Baked Nutty Falafels

Carefully put the garlic, hemp hearts, almonds, chili powder, onion powder, garlic, sea salt, and cumin into your food processor. Process the mixture for exactly 10 seconds and then chop it up to a mealy state.

Then, add the coconut oil, egg, and parsley to your mixture and process it for 10 seconds until well mixed. Next, put the falafel batter into the fridge to chill up for 30 minutes. Next, take it to the oven to preheat at 350 Fahrenheit, then line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Furthermore, use two tablespoons or a small cookie scooper to scoop 12 dollops of the measured falafel batter and place them on the parchment paper. Roll each ball into your hands when you are done using the falafel batter. Afterward, smoothen each of the balls and put it back on the parchment paper.

After this, place it in the oven and bake it for 20 minutes. Make sure to dress your lemon tahini while the falafel is baking. Put the tahini in a medium bowl and whisk it together.  Add the juice from 1 lemon, avocado oil, and agave nectar, then give it a thick dressing.

Before drizzling or pouring it on the falafel wrap, whisk in about 2-4 tablespoons of water to ensure the dressing is thinned. After baking the falafel, use avocado oil spray on each ball, then broil for about 1-2 minutes until the tops are golden brown. A good substitute for avocado oil spray is to brush each of the balls with avocado oil.

Afterward, prepare your wraps and put a tablespoon of avocado oil into a pan and allow to get to medium-high heat. Once the oil gets hot, put the wrap into the pan one by one and toast/fry it for 3 minutes. Then flip the wraps and let the other side toast for 1-2 minutes.

When the wraps turn golden brown, toasted, and slightly crunchy, put them on a plate. Next, add one tablespoon of hummus to the center of each wrap and evenly spread it. Next, place the sliced red onions, arugula, and 3-4 falafel on each wrap. Then, drizzle it nicely with the lemon tahini sauce. Lastly, put the toasted pine nuts and harissa. Fold it up and take a bite to munch on the delicious falafels. To enjoy delicious snacks and learn other unique recipes, visit www.LorentaNuts.com today!
